Our therapists include highly trained Master and Doctoral level professionals with numerous advanced specialties. They understand the obsessive, often highly complex thought processes that create our clients’ disordered thinking, and they are unequivocally committed to helping people heal.

Nancy Albus, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, CEDS — Chief Executive Officer

Nancy Albus is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) with extensive training and more than a decade of experience in eating disorders, intimacy, relationships, family therapy and Internal Family Systems therapy. A member of the Castlewood Treatment Center team since 2002, Nancy has held several positions within the company including primary therapist, program director and executive director. She was named CEO in December 2012. As CEO, Albus is responsible for leading the nationally accredited treatment facility and its qualified, experienced treatment team. Albus will continue to leverage Castlewood’s esteemed reputation for helping people suffering from eating disorders transform to healthier lives. Under her direction, the center has expanded to include new treatment facilities in Monterey, California (Monarch Cove Treatment Center) and Birmingham Alabama (Highlands Treatment Center).

In addition to her work with eating disorders, Nancy focuses on gender and sexuality issues and facilitates family week programming at Castlewood. She is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders, the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and the National Eating Disorder Association. Albus received her graduate degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, completed business courses at Washington University and earned her undergraduate degree at Texas Christian University. Albus currently resides in Kirkwood with her husband and two daughters. She is very active in the community and has devoted time to DePaul Hospital Auxiliary, Rossman School Parents Club and Board, and the John Burroughs Parent Council. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and is an accomplished golfer.

Jim Gerber, MA, ATR, Ph.D — Clinical Director

Dr. Jim Gerber is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience working with adults and adolescents in a variety of clinical areas. He has been at Castlewood since 2003 and is currently the Clinical Director for all St. Louis based Castlewood Treatment Centers. As Clinical Director, he is responsible for maintaining and developing Castlewood’s high quality of clinical work, as well as supervising the nationally recognized treatment team. In addition, he will continue to provide individual and group therapy to clients and follow the progress of all clients undergoing treatment at the St. Louis facilities. Dr. Gerber received his PhD in counseling and family therapy from St. Louis University and completed his Master’s degree in art therapy and counseling at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Dr. Gerber understands the complexities of eating disorders and has lectured across the country on a variety of topics related to the disease. He is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

Dr. M. Asif Qaisrani, M.D., M.P.H. – Medical Director Missouri

Dr. Qaisrani is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and has been working at Castlewood Treatment Center since 2012. He completed his residency training from St. Louis University School of Medicine and served as the Chief Resident. He has background in health administration and academics with current and former affiliations with St. Louis University, WASHU and SIU. He served as the Medical Director and Consultant psychiatrist at various regional organizations and facilities. He has extensive experience in the areas of substance use disorders, adolescent psychiatry, mood disorders, PTSD as well as eating disorders. As an educator and a practitioner, he has special interest in psychopharmacology and motivational engagement. He believes in promoting recovery through team approach and comprehensive treatment planning.  He uses different therapy tools besides medication management in helping clients to discover their own transformation. Most recently, Dr. Qaisrani was promoted to our Medical Director position for the Missouri facilities overseeing psychiatric management, medical oversight and treatment planning with team members. He also plays a role in staff training and teaching including presentation and formal seminars.

Nicole Siegfried, Ph.D, CEDS- National Director of Eating Disorder Program Development

Nicole SiegfriedDr. Nicole Siegfried is a licensed clinical psychologist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. She previously served as Clinical Director for a national treatment center for eating disorders. She is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at University of Alabama at Birmingham and has also served as Associate Professor of Psychology at Samford University. She is an international presenter in the field of eating disorders and suicidality. She is a member of AED and Co-Chair of the Suicide AED Special Interest Group. Dr. Siegfried has more than 15 years of experience working with patients with eating disorders and helping to transform their lives. She is currently working with Castlewood Treatment Centers  as Clinical Director for the Highlands Treatment Center for Eating Disorders in Birmingham, AL as well as the National Director of Eating Disorder Program Development for all Castlewood locations. As the Clinical Director, Dr. Siegfried is committed to the Castlewood Philosophy of in-depth individually- tailored treatment which addresses the underlying symptoms and co-occurring disorders related to the eating disorder.

Tammy Beasley, RDN, CEDRD, CSSD, LD- National Coordinator for Nutrition Education

Beasley2015BTammy received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Auburn University and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Tammy has been practicing as a registered and licensed dietitian/nutritionist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for thirty years, of which the last 24 have been specialized in the field of eating disorders. Tammy was the first RD to become a certified eating disorder registered dietitian (CEDRD) with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals in 1993 and received her certification as a specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD) through the American Dietetic Association in 2007 (the first in Alabama).  Her unique perspective on wellness, resulting from years of client consultations, led to the creation of the RevItUP! for Life program, designed for the chronic dieter to break through food guilt and stop the dieting cycle, which has been taught by RDs in over 27 states. Tammy is passionate about helping clients with all eating disorders learn to trust food and restore a healthy relationship with their own bodies again, and considers it a privilege to partner with the treatment team and the clients on their individual journeys. Tammy believes full recovery is possible, as evidenced in her own recovery from an eating disorder and the years of experience helping other clients do the same.

During her career, Tammy has served in a wide range of positions to include outpatient nutrition services director for general and eating disorder-specific nutrition clients, nutrition director for an intensive outpatient program in Miami, Florida, adjunct professor at Florida International University and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, business owner of a private practice specializing in eating disorders, media representative for Alabama Dietetic Association, and national speaker on nutrition for eating disorders. In 2008, Auburn’s College of Human Sciences appointed Tammy to the Dean’s Advisory Board, and asked her to chair the new Advisory Board for Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012. After serving on the iaedp Certification Committee for four years, she stepped into the Director role in 2013 and her proudest achievement is the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s approval of the CEDRD Certification for all RDs in the field of eating disorders in June, 2015.  In 1995, Tammy received the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year award from the Florida Dietetic Association. She has served in many leadership roles for her local and state dietetic associations in both Miami and North Alabama, and is currently president-elect of the Alabama Dietetic Association. She was selected as ALDA’s 2007 Outstanding Dietitian of the Year, and received the Dietetics Emerging Leader award in 2010.

Tammy joins Castlewood as National Coordinator for Educational Outreach and Development and looks forward to partnering with the Castlewood treatment team to showcase the unique, individualized nutrition care provided by our programs and provide innovative nutrition-based educational opportunities for practicing clinicians who are dedicated to the healing and recovery of clients struggling with eating disorders.

Steve Moro, CPA, MBA- Vice President of Finance

Steve MoroSteve is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Missouri with over 20 years of healthcare finance experience and 10 years of public accounting experience. Prior to joining Castlewood, Steve was a Market Chief Financial Officer responsible for three long term acute care hospitals and an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in the St. Louis Area. Also, he previously worked for the BJC Health System and the Mercy Health Systems.  Steve has earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Taxation. In addition, he has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Information Management.  Steve is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Annalee Plumb, LPC, NCC, CADC — Director of Treatment Services

Ms. Plumb obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling, both from Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri. Annalee is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs of Addiction Counselor, a Medication Assisted Recovery Specialist and a Clinical Supervisor for CADC. Prior to working at Castlewood, Annalee worked at Bridgeway Behavioral Health as the director of the Intensive Outpatient Program in Warren County and Drug Court Treatment Liaison. Annalee has worked for Castlewood since October 2010 as a utilization review specialist, the Director of Utilization Review, and now as the Director of Treatment Services.

Dr. Dawn M. Holemon, M.D. — Psychiatrist

Dr. HolemonDr. Dawn Holemon graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and has been in private practice of psychiatry since 1986. Dr. Holemon began working at Castlewood Treatment Center with the opening of Castlewood II in June 2010. Her experience has been in the areas of adolescent psychiatry, anxiety disorders and mood disorders, with an interest in medication as an adjunct to a strong therapy-based treatment plan. She has enjoyed becoming a part of the Castlewood treatment team for this reason.

Dr. Kevin Miller, M.D. — Psychiatrist

Dr. Miller is Board Certified in Psychiatry, earned his medical degree and completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, followed by a two-year NIMH research and clinical fellowship in mood disorders at the Yale University School of Medicine. He returned to Castlewood I in 2012 as our Psychiatrist, having served as Castlewood’s second Medical Director in our early years when Castlewood only had one facility. He has served on the faculty of three medical schools, lectured widely in the professional community about psychotropic medications, published articles in national professional journals, and been accepted as an expert witness in state and federal courts. In addition to his skills in medication management, Dr. Miller has special experience and interest in eating disorders, chemical dependency, and psychological trauma. His professional time outside of Castlewood is spent in private practice.

Jada Holmes, MSHM- Program Director Castlewood I

JadaJada earned her Master's degree in Health Management from Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, MO.  She completed research on the topic of obesity in minority populations while obtaining her Master's degree. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri St. Louis. Jada has completed level I training in the Internal Family Systems model of therapy. She has been employed with Castlewood since 2007 in various capacities as the Step Down Coordinator, Programs Manager, Asst. Program Director and now as the Program Director of Castlewood I. Jada’s current focus in research and community activism is on promoting eating disorder awareness in minority populations.

Deana Wilson, MBA- Program Director Castlewood II & Director of Intake

Deana1- KeepDeana obtained her Bachelors of Science and later earned her Masters of Business Administration at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Deana has many years of experience in business development, marketing and healthcare administration. She has previously worked in administration for The Renfrew Center, and most recently as a Regional Outreach Manager at Rosewood Centers for Eating Disorders. Castlewood is delighted to have someone with Deana’s experience and commitment to the field of eating disorders join our team. In her role as Director of Intake she leads the intake department at Castlewood Treatment Centers, overseeing clients’ care from initial inquiries to admittance to ensure the highest level of service and satisfaction. Her other duties include building client relationships and increasing awareness of Castlewood’s experienced treatment team and nationally accredited treatment programs.

Rebecca Baker, M.Ed, LPC- Program Director, PHP

Rebecca BakerMs. Baker obtained her Bachelors of Arts from University of Missouri in psychology with a minor in sociology. She went on to pursue her Masters of Education in Counseling and Family therapy from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Ms. Baker is a licensed professional counselor who has worked at Castlewood Treatment Center since 2008. Ms. Baker has completed level I training in Internal Family Systems model of therapy and EMDR. Ms. Baker incorporates cognitive behavioral therapies, Internal Family Systems, experiential therapies and family therapy in her work at Castlewood. Ms. Baker has held several roles at Castlewood including Direct Care Staff, Intake Counselor, Utilization Review Specialist, Primary Therapist and Assistant Program Director.  She is currently the Program Director of the Castlewood Partial Hospitalization Program.

Meet the PHP Team

Charlie Cash, MBA- Vice President of Sales and Marketing

charlieCharlie received his BS in Economics from Vanderbilt University and later his Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.  Charlie joins Castlewood after spending the past two decades working for various early stage companies building sales and marketing teams.  Charlie's experience in business development, channel management, sales support, marketing, and operations provides a wealth of experience to the executive team.  In his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Charlie will be responsible for managing both Castlewood's regional outreach efforts and our national marketing campaigns.  Charlie's experience building service-oriented sales and marketing teams will insure Castlewood continues to provide outstanding service and support for our professional referral sources.

Celine Leaver, MA- Compliance Coordinator

Celine obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Missouri-Columbia and later earned her Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Avila University. Celine has worked for Castlewood since 2014 and has held various positions such as direct care counselor, PHP Coordinator and primary therapist. Recently, Celine decided to join the administrative team as the Compliance Coordinator and is bringing expertise from her clinical experience to this new role. Celine is a provisionally licensed professional counselor and plans to complete her licensure in August 2017 therefore will remain involved with clients receiving care at Castlewood Treatment Center, while ensuring the facilities’ compliance in aspects such as accreditations, policies and procedures and laws and regulations.

 Bryan Mitra- Executive Chef

Bryan MitraExecutive Chef Bryan Mitra is a graduate of New England Culinary Institute in Vermont and studied at the renowned Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF) in Costigliole d’Asti, Italy. Chef Bryan joined the team at Castlewood Treatment Center in 2011 and enjoys using his passion for cooking to help heal people. Prior to Castlewood, Chef Bryan held many prestigious positions including working under White House Executive Chef Pierre Chambrin at the St. Louis Club, working under Master Chef Aidan Murphy at Old Warson Country Club, and running the kitchens at the Legends Country Club and Lumen Event Catering.
