Castlewood Treatment Center is seeking a full time Therapist, who specializes in anxiety disorders, for its Ballwin, Missouri facilities.

Applicant must possess: 

  • A Master’s degree in social work, counseling or psychology required. A PhD preferred.
  • Licensed in the state of Missouri.
  • Prior experience and or training treating anxiety disorders.
  • Two years post Master’s Degree in this field.
  • Ability to establish a strong therapeutic working relationship with clients.
  • Have strong case conceptualization skills and ability to understand treatment planning is required.
  • Have prior experience facilitating individual and group therapy sessions and a background treating eating disorders.
  • Interests in collaboration within a treatment team.


  • Advanced knowledge of therapy theories and the ability to implement them effectively

Utilization Review Coordinator

We have a Full-time opportunity for a Utilization Review Coordinator. This position will review provider requests for services against established review criteria, referring cases not meeting criteria to a physician advisor or medical director for review. The Utilization Review Coordinator will evaluate the options and services required to meet the client’s health and psycho-social service’s needs, in support and collaboration with psycho-social services interventions. The goal of Utilization Review is to assist the provider in identifying appropriate options for the level of care that will assist the client in achieving optimum stability of health status within their defined psycho-social state. The Utilization Review Coordinator will support this effort through education, support and collaboration with the client, caregivers, treating providers, and other members of the health care team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned workload within established performance standards.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with providers, clients and caregivers through telephonic and / or onsite visits.
  • Participate in discharge planning process with inpatient facility staff, ensuring adequate and appropriate disposition and post discharge plans.
  • Establish positive relationships with treating physicians and other health care providers through collaborative problem solving.
  • Perform Utilization Review - pre-authorization, concurrent and retrospective review as needed for inpatient/or outpatient services and/or predetermination reviews for services or levels of care requiring authorization according to the market requirements and/or policies.
  • Maintain open communication flow with Case Management or Social Services staff to facilitate smooth transition and follow-ups as client is transferred from one level of care and/or service to another.
  • Maintain all required documentation in the information systems in a timely manner.
  • Participate in case conferences, clinical in-services, and other educational opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or RN licensed in California depending on location of practice.
  • Experience in utilization review, case management, or disease management preferred.
  • Two years in a business / corporate setting or similar environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Milliman Care Guide and experience in using same preferred.
  • Familiarity with utilization review modules in information systems preferred
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and the ability to function in a fast    paced environment.
  • Adaptable, organized personality is required and the ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills and be a strong team player.

Medical Records Specialist

We have a Full-time opportunity for a Medical Records Specialist who is responsible for responding to medical records requests, auditing medical records, scanning data into the electronic medical recordkeeping (EMR) system, and assuring compliance with internal policies, ethical codes of conduct, state and federal law, and CTC’s accrediting bodies’ (CARF and TJC) standards. This position reports to the Compliance Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Responds to medical records requests from individuals served and other parties (e.g., other treatment facilities, healthcare providers, insurance companies, utilization review staff); Release/obtain information to/from persons and agencies according to regulations
    • Coordinate internal efforts to compile requested records:
      • Work with the business office to obtain appropriate diagnoses, treatment codes, invoices, billing statements, etc.
      • Work with Utilization Review staff to respond to insurance appeals
      • Work with Business Associates to gather information stored off-site
      • Work with Admissions Department to obtain records related to incoming clients
      • Work with Discharge Department/Treatment Team to release records to continuing care treatment team members
    • Track disclosures, amendments, and breaches, as necessary
    • Use Sigmund Software to collect, classify, store, and analyze information; scan and upload documents into the EMR
    • Resolve/clarify conflicting, missing, or unclear information by consulting with clinical or administrative staff to get additional information


  • Responsible for bi-weekly and quarterly audits of active and discharged client records to assure internal compliance with recordkeeping standards and record completeness
    • Sees that entries to the records of clients served follow CTC’s policy on time frames for entries
    • Responsible for assuring that the medical record for all discharged clients is completed by clinical staff in a timely manner; reviews for accuracy and compliance with regulations


  • Assure the confidentiality of CTC’s medical records and proprietary files by maintaining appropriate HIPAA/HITECH and internal security measures
  • Work with the Compliance Coordinator to assure that destruction of confidential records and/or protected health information (PHI) is carried out according to CTC procedures

EMR Management

  • Assist with revisions, additions, and changes to Sigmund software for medical records management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate with previous experience in healthcare environment.
  • Associates degree or coursework in medical terminology, health data requirements and standards, data analysis a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Release of information and medical record maintenance activities.
  • Must be PC literate with proficiency in spreadsheets, database software and word processing.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluently and effectively in English.
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, staff, patients, vendors, and the general public.
  • Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task required.

Direct Care Counselor

Castlewood is seeking a Direct Care Counselor to provide protective oversight of clients for its Ballwin, Missouri location. We have a full-time position with day/evening shifts during the week and weekend. Applicants should have experience in the mental health or medical field and experience with eating disorders is preferred. Job responsibilities include managing the client milieu, crisis intervention, facilitating after meal processing, clinical documentation, overseeing medication administration, and working with the clinical and medical team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
  • Will consider Associate’s Degree or two years of college with at least one year of experience in a residential psychiatric setting.
  • CMT experience preferred.
  • Must have current CPR certification, preferably through the American Heart Association.
  • Valid Class E Driver’s license or must obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Word Processing Skills
  • Ability to relate well to both clients and co-workers
  • Knowledge regarding supervision of others
  • Ability to document all work and complete paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Physically able to perform most household duties which may include lifting up to 20 pounds and engage in basic recreational activities such as walking, swimming, etc.

Registered Nurse

We have an opportunity for a Full-time and/or Part-time Registered Nurse to join our team to support our residential and PHP clients at our three locations in the Ballwin area.  We are looking for a nurse who enjoys collaborating with other members of the health care team, is a team player, and has effective and therapeutic patient communication and good time management and prioritization.  The position will typically be Monday – Friday 8 hour shifts with occasional evenings and weekends.

This position is responsible for assisting the clinical team with the daily oversight and management of the medical services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: medication management and administration, timely completion of patient assessments, management of tube feedings, assessing and dressing wounds, patient education, coordinating outpatient medical appointments and working closely with the nurse manager to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN is preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of MO.
  • Must have current CPR certification through an American Heart Association approved agency.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an acute care or skilled nursing setting required.
  • Behavioral Health and/or residential eating disorder experience highly recommended.
  • Experience working within electronic medical records systems.
  • Requires knowledge of team building and an ability to use persuasive leadership in order to work with others to ensure safe and effective medical services.
