Will My Insurance Cover the Cost of Treatment?
Castlewood Eating Disorder Treatment Center is licensed as a Residential Treatment Center, not an Inpatient Treatment Center. Your insurance policy must have benefits for Residential Treatment in order for Castlewood to be covered. As a courtesy to prospective patients our admission staff will, with your consent, contact your insurance carrier to obtain a quote of insurance benefits. We will share this information with you to help you make an educated decision about your treatment options, and understand what your insurance will cover.
Castlewood Treatment Center is in-network with many private insurance companies including:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Value Options
- Beech Street
- Three Rivers
Castlewood Treatment Center is not licensed as a Medicare, Medicaid, or Tricare provider.
Benefits are not the only important detail regarding insurance coverage. The insurance company must authorize the client to utilize benefits, and the client must meet certain medical-necessity criteria in order to obtain coverage. Our intake counselors and utilization review clinicians will coordinate pre-authorization, insurance coverage, and payment for all treatment authorized by your insurance company. Our utilization review clinicians will work tirelessly to obtain continued coverage throughout your stay at Castlewood, by completing ongoing reviews in conjunction with your insurance company case manager. Castlewood’s business office will bill the insurance company directly, and communicate any difficulties to the client and/or their family.
How Can I Help Obtain Insurance Payment?
We recommend you consult with your insurance company directly prior to admission to determine detailed coverage and benefit information. Our intake counselors will also complete an independent insurance verification.
Castlewood has found that families who advocate for themselves with insurance companies have the best success in acquiring the coverage and length of stay needed. Thus, we strongly recommend you get involved together with us during this process. Below are some helpful resources regarding obtaining authorization and securing payment from insurance companies.
