November 11, 2013 by Castlewood Treatment Center in Castlewood Events, Eating Disorder Treatment The staff at Castlewood will soon be welcoming the Highlands Treatment Center into our partnership. The official opening of the Highlands will take place November 13th, at their facility in Birmingham, Alabama, and will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Our staff at Castlewood is pleased to have Clinical Director, Dr. Nicole Siegfried, and her team at the Highlands as a part of our affiliation. The Highlands program has been serving clients since August of this year through a partial hospitalization program and an intensive outpatient program. I know that the Highlands will be an important resource for the treatment and prevention of eating disorders in the Birmingham community.
The official opening event is our opportunity to let the public know about the Highlands and help welcome Nicole and her expertise to the site. Nicole leads a very strong clinical team that has years of clinical experience treating eating disorders. Just like Castlewood, the Highlands uses a multidisciplinary team that has experience in the complexities of eating disorders and incorporates family therapy, creative arts therapies, nutrition therapy, CBT, DBT and other treatment modalities. Nicole's staff creates an individualized treatment program based on each client's needs, in order to address a multitude of issues and help them achieve a full recovery.
The ribbon cutting event will also include a tour of the Highlands facility. We invite all area professionals, as well as members of the community to come to the event, see the facility, meet the staff, and see what the client experience is like. The Highlands facility is beautiful - tranquil, peaceful, and full of healing. We are proud to be in a partnership with this facility, and we encourage everyone in the area to come out and take a look.
