March 13, 2012 by admin in Announcements, Castlewood In the NewsCastlewood is pleased to announce that we have implemented an Alumni follow up program for all clients that discharge from our programs. Castlewood is committed to our alumni and it our goal to help ease the transition back into living and the assist in the recovery process. Our new Alumni Relations staff member- Nancy Finefield will be following up with clients 1 month post discharge and at 1 month intervals for 6 months post discharge. Currently she is contacting all clients that have discharged in the last 3 months. The goal of this program is to assess clients progress post treatment, offer resources available in your area, and also to follow up with client's discharge plan and encourage continued outpatient therapy. If you are an alumni of Castlewood and would like for Nancy to follow up with you, but you have been discharged for longer than 3 months, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to have her contact you.
In addition to this follow up program, Castlewood is working to develop a new alumni website. This website will be a members only secure log in for our alumni. Alumni will be able to participate in discussions regarding the recovery process as well as post recovery oriented creativity such as art work, music, and poetry. Our hope is that this new website feature will be a resource for clients to encourage and mentor one another.
Our new alumni relations staff member Nancy Finefield obtained her Masters of Arts in clinical counseling from the university of Denver, and then obtained a Master's in Counseling and School Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. Nancy was a certified family therapist for 8 years providing individual and family counseling as well as substance abuse counseling for a community counseling agency in Indiana. Since this time Nancy has lived in the St. Louis area, raising her 2 children and volunteering in the schools, her church and the community abroad. She joined the Castlewood team at the beginning of the year to help coordinate alumni relations.
